Over 220 1-on-1 meetings held during a Digital Workshop of Visit Iceland

Update Spanish Tour Operators and Travel Agents on the latest developments of Visit Iceland and connect them with DMC’s, hotels and Icelandic airlines. The main objective was to promote communication and connection between buyers and sellers in order to continue with their commercial relations, product updates and knowledge and presentation of new offers in the destination.

What we’ve done

We bring Visit Iceland closer to the Spanish tourism industry. Due to the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges of face-to-face events, for the 2020 edition we proposed an online event using the Interface Events platform.

The event lasted three days and started with a Webinar and a Q&A session where guests could hear first hand the message of Visit Iceland and ask all the questions about the destination. Then, over the next two days, Tour Operators and Travel Agents had the opportunity to connect individually with exhibitors from Iceland in 15 minute meetings.

During the two days of meetings a networking area was also dedicated to the Visit Iceland representative to whom all participants were invited to share their impressions of the platform as well as comments on their day of meetings.

Results: This was an opportunity for a relaxed chat about the destination and an enjoyable ending to a day of productive professional meetings. As this is a Digital Workshop we made sure that all parties could attend the event.

  • 16 Expositors, including airlines, hotels and DMC’s
  • 218 views on YouTube
  • 283 meetings arranged and 228 individual meetings held
  • 95% of satisfaction in the use of the platform as well as the contents of the workshop according to the survey made to the participants after the end of the event.
