The familiarization trip was made to support the various activities and projects aimed at Spanish tourism during the year. Four tour operators were invited to experience the country first-hand, to see destinations and accommodations and to meet potential partners for six days. The famtrip included the visit to the selected destinations and was made in cooperation with the commercial partners of The Philippines.
The main objectives were to make Spanish tour operators experience the highlighted destinations and accommodations of the Philippines and to meet with potential partners, to include the Philippines in tour operators’ offers and thus to contribute to the arrival of tourists to the country.
Results: NUBA included two more pages from the Philippines in its catalog, Logitravel created 4 closed packages to the Philippines in two months and Nautalia created six new closed tours, sending a thousand Spanish travelers to the country in six months.
