During two weekends, we carried out a guerrilla marketing campaign in Madrid and Barcelona. We partnered with Latitudes touroperator who created a special offer for this campaign. Five actors in easily recognizable costumes to represent the animals that any traveler would be sure to find in the Kenyan savannah (zebra, giraffe, lion, leopard and elephant), were strolling through busy central areas of the cities. The “animals” distributed leaflets to all who passed by. On one side the flyers had the rules of the contest and on the other side an offer for a safari to Kenya.
Results: the actors delivered more than 10,000 flyers to locals and tourists, a large number of people took pictures with them and posted them in social media with the hashtag #DescubreKenia, our number of fans increased by 10% and the campaign appeared for 5 days in the program Paralelo 20 in Radio Marca (daily number of listeners 146,200).
